Welcome to Brackenrig Nursery & Maintenance

Brackenrig Nursery has been the top garden center in Muskoka. We've been offering our gardening services and growing plants on the premises for Muskoka, Bracebridge, Port Carling and surrounding areas since 1988. The greenhouses cover about 14,000 sq.ft. and are mainly used to grow annuals and perennials. We also have a few acres of growing space that is devoted to many varieties of larger sized perennials, shrubs and trees.

We welcome the individual gardener as well as the landscaper. We have your gardening solutions ready to go! Over the years the nursery has propagated thousands of plants native to Muskoka, as well as naturalized species and we now have a large amount of indigenous plant material available. Making use of natural materials, selecting plants suitable for our growing conditions, we aim to work with nature rather than against it.

Growing plants is our passion! This lifts our spirits and we continue our quest to grow strong healthy plants to help beautify your home and surroundings. We are excited to inspire other gardeners. We do annual planting, perennial planting, as well as shrub planting and landscape gardening work. We are a garden centre that just LOVES what we do!

Our own garden is the ideal place to just ‘be’ and relax. It is a place where we can connect with the natural world, feel part of it. It is a place where we can express ourselves, and let our imagination go wild. It is a place for healing. The more time we spend close to nature, the closer we get to recognizing our true potential.

The bud stands for all things,
Even those things that don't flower,
For everything flowers, from within,
of self-blessing.
Though sometimes it is necessary
To reteach a thing its loveliness,
To put a hand on the brow
of a flower,
And retell it in words and in touch,
It is lovely
Until it flowers from within,
of self-blessing
